We welcome the patients of Dr. Ringel & Dr. Potes (Spartanburg Neurological Center) to our practice.
As much as we would like to accommodate all of their patients, it is unlikely that all of their patients will be able to fit into our schedule in a reasonable time frame. Decisions to be received into the practice will be determined on a case by case basis. Please be assured, we will make every attempt to see as many people as possible. With that in mind, many patients will be seen by our specialty trained board-certified nurse practitioner alongside Dr. Gheorghiu.
In terms of medical records, we can only take responsibility of medical records for patients we have physically seen in our office. We are confident Dr. Ringel & Dr. Potes have made provisions for your medical records. As we attempt to modify our infrastructure to provide care for the increased volume of neurological patients in our community, we ask for your patience. Dr. Gheorghiu and the staff of BG Neurology hope you will feel confident and comfortable with your new providers.
Neurology is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the nervous system. Neuroscience, which is the empirical study of the nervous system, is the foundation for the practice of neurology.
There are over 600 known neurological disorders and conditions that affect the nervous system, including epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, brain tumors, neuropathy, radiculopathy, migraines, fibromyalgia, seizures, and dementia. Sufferers of one of more of these conditions may experience tangential ailments or psychosocial and economic issues, which may affect treatment development and diagnosis.
