Dr. Gheorghiu is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology – Neurology, American Academy of Pain Management, Americain Society of Neuroimaging-Neurovascular Ultrasound, and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology-Neuromuscular Medicine. He graduated from Medical School -Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York, New York in 1992. He pursued his post-graduate studies in Neurology through his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he was appointed chief resident. He gained fellowship status in Clinical Neurophysiology with the Department of Neurology at North Shore University Hospital. Along with his extensive education, he is the Principal Investigator in state-of-the-art neuroscience clinical trials. As the current medical director of Mary Black Memorial Hospital's Vascular Lab, he provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure time sensitive diagnostic interpretations.
